Today, after wait­ing 2 month until my note­book gets back to me (to the HP repair cen­ter Switzer­land: you’re a bunch of stu­pid idiots!) I could finally install Hack­in­tosh. I used iATKOS v7 and it works quite good. You need to select two dri­vers dur­ing the installation:

HDX18 use a NVidia GeForce 9600GT GPU — and yes you need to select ATI HD dri­vers. The wire­less card does not work (Intel 5100 chipset) but I’ll try to setup a blue­tooth con­nec­tion to my iPhone…

Thanks to this blog my key­board works bet­ter now:

I found with my Hack­in­tosh, and then read else­where, that one draw­back is that key­board short­cuts don’t work. It turned out to be an easy fix. Just go into Sys­tem Pref­er­ences and select Key­board & Mouse ->Key­board -> Mod­i­fier Keys… Then change the selec­tion for “Con­trol Key” from “Con­trol Key” to “Com­mand”. It should look like this:

    Thanks for the men­tion above. Just an FYI — I’m hav­ing trou­ble with air­port now on my Hackintosh’d Dell mini9. I think it may be addi­tional soft­ware or updates I’ve installed… maybe. When I get it sorted out I’ll post an update.
