I tried to reuse some parts of my dead note­book. After watch­ing this video, I tried to attach a PS/2 Cable to my Synap­tics based touch­pad, which is quite straightforward.

I plan to add cus­tom but­tons, as they are on a sep­a­rate board and one but­ton is defect. This but­tons can be con­nected to T6, Left Mouse But­ton and T7, Right Mouse But­ton. 5V = not pressed, 0V = key pressed.

There are sev­eral ver­sions of this chip, check the model num­ber. For exam­ple TM41PUGX134-1, where ‘P’ defines the host pro­to­col: P (PS/2), B (PS/2-and-Serial combo), and A (ADB).
